GPHA Confident of Huge Profits in 2018
The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) has said it is optimistic it will realise high profit earnings in 2018.
According to the Authority, due to the huge investments it did make last year in the areas of the Tema Shipyard and the expansion of the Tema and Takoradi ports it did not perform well profit-wise.
It is, however, confident it will realise high profits this year upon completion of projects it began last year.
The Director General of the GPHA, Paul Asare Ansah, made this known recently during an interaction with Journalists.
“As I was telling you a lot of payments were made into areas that were not bringing as immediate revenue… that are young critical investments,” he said adding: “We expect that all those investments will start bringing us revenues and our profitability level will increase” in 2018.
