Abimelech could not get to the people of God in Thebez because they did not only go into the strong tower, but they got to the top. Getting to the top speaks of spiritual maturity. You must maximize all your unlimited potential and unleash it so that you will become invisible to the devil. This requires growth in the things of God.
The inhabitants of Thebez did not only get to the top, but a certain woman threw down a millstone and broke the head of Abimelech. What this signifies is that when you grow to spiritual maturity, you will gather enough capacity to confront your enemies. No matter how new you are as a Christian, what you require is spiritual capacity. Women are generally regarded as weaker vessels. This is not talking about inferiority but their physiology. They are not built like men. And so by their makeup they are weak but it is this same weak woman who threw the stone that broke Abimelech’s head. All you need to do is grow in the Lord and when you do even as a new Christian you can put the devil where he belongs. When you know your rights and privileges no matter how strong that challenge is it will come down.
Keep growing in the Lord. Wake up every morning and say to yourself I am invisible! Evil bows before me, the wicked bows at my gate. No weapon fashioned against me shall prosper. Any tongue that rises against me I condemn. They shall surely gather but it’s not by my God, those who are gathering against me shall surely fall for my sake. I am blessed going out, I am blessed coming in. I have been empowered to succeed and so anywhere I go I must succeed. Even when it is not working somewhere, because I have arrived it must work. As you declare over yourself every day, things will gravitate in that direction and work for your good. God will honour the words you speak over your life.
