Gyan Apologizes Over Outbursts
THE CAPTAIN of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan, has apologized over his insult-laced post on Instagram, a social media platform.
According to him, he was carried away by some unhealthy remarks made by someone, which compelled him to roar.
In the post, Asamoah Gyan cast insinuations and virtually rained insults on his ‘enemies’.
Even though he failed to name his attackers, soccer pundits believe Gyan’s outburst was directed at former Black Stars striker, Prince Tagoe.
Tagoe, it would be recalled, in a recent interview, said the timing of the appointment of Gyan as Ghana captain was not right.
He opined that other senior players in the team at the time should have been appointed captain instead of Asamoah.
Tagoe’s remarks infuriated Gyan, who took to Instagram this week and issued all manner of insults and insinuations.
Virtually bragging about his wealth, the goal poacher said he had a pure heart, and that plans by people to bring him down would not work.
“Just look at what happened to all the people that planned evil about me; their lives became miserable”, the striker observed, adding that he had been blessed beyond curse.
“I don’t envy people who are making it big in life. I rather pray fervently for them to even go higher in life”.
He said he is also making it big in business because he is always ready to learn from those on top.
“I go to people who are making it big in business and plead with them to teach me how they were able to make it so I can copy from them”, he said, and stressed that he did not lobby to become captain of the senior national team.
“It is God who made me the captain of the Black Stars; I did not lobby to become Ghana captain”.
However, in what seem like a quick U-turn, the Ghana captain quickly apologized for his tantrums, saying he was sorry for his outbursts. He also promised not to repeat that mistake again.
