Habib Iddrisu has turned Tolon into NPP’s safe seat – NPP Scribe

The Northern Regional Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Professor Zakaria Hudu, has revealed that the Tolon Constituency has been transformed into one of the Party’s safest seats in the Region.

According to him, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tolon Constituency, who doubles as the Deputy Majority Whip of the 8th Parliament, Alhaji Habib Iddrisu has brought massive developmental projects to the constituency which has never been witnessed in its history wondering if anyone can surpass his remarkable achievements in the area.

“ The Tolon parliamentary seat used to be a gab of 1056 votes but Alhaji Habib Iddrisu won with a gap of over 9,000 votes and the kind of work he has done in the constituency makes the Tolon seat a safe seat for the NPP”. He argued on Tamale-based free to air NTV

He indicated that voters in the Tolon constituency do not vote according to party but rather based on development which is exactly what the MP is doing for the people of Tolon.

“In Tolon we have about 124 electoral area and I’m yet to hear any electoral area say that they haven’t benefited from the MP. The works of the MP is dotted around the entire constituency”.

The Northern Regional Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), Zakaria Hudu is optimistic that the kind of massive development the Member of Parliament has brought to the Tolon constituency, he will be maintained for more development.

Alhaji Habib Iddrisu has maintained that his focus is developing the area and making education one of his topmost priorities.

In a recent interview, he revealed that there is no point for the area to lag behind in terms of development once he is the person in charge.
“It is my hope to see the Tolon area accelerate in terms of development under my watch. I am leaving nothing to chance to ensure that this becomes a reality for residents devoid of their political affiliation”, he assured.
