TOP POLITICIAN, Akwasi Addai aka ‘Odike’, has predicted gloomy economic prospects for Ghana this year.
According to him, the 2021 budget, which was read in Parliament last week, does not offer any hope.
Sounding like a prophet of doom, Akwasi Addai, nicknamed ‘Odike’, said hard times looms.
“This year’s budget doesn’t offer any hope”, the United Progressive Party (UPP) founder, said on Akoma FM.
He said he has been in active business for a long time so he could predict if a budget would make positive impact.
“Unfortunately this budget has no life and hope in it”, Odike said, adding that tough times were coming fast.
According to him, the government’s firm promise to construct modern interchanges in Kumasi was just fluke.
“The Suame interchange promise is a scam because we have no cash to construct it”, Odike maintained.
According to him, the government would struggle to embark on any meaning infrastructural development.
Odike said the NPP government had drained Ghana’s coffers so Ghanaians should expect little from the budget.
