Hazard Admires Real Madrid
Eden Hazard has no intention of leaving Chelsea despite conceding he is a great admirer of Real Madrid.
Hazard was speaking after scoring the opener from the penalty spot in Chelsea’s 4-0 thrashing of 10-man Qarabag in the Champions League on Wednesday night, which consequently secured Antonio Conte’s side’s progress to the knockout stages.
But Chelsea’s talisman has found himself in amongst a game of transfer-limbo of late, with Sportsmail reporting Hazard had claimed he would relish an opportunity to play under Real boss Zinedine Zidane.
But, according to Four Four Two, the Belgian told Canal Plus he is happy plying his trade in West London, despite the rumours circulating that he is readying a Chelsea exit.
‘I am always very fine at this club. I still have two years of contract (left),’ he said. ‘When I feel the desire to leave, I’ll leave. But, for now, I’m a Blue.’
‘We know the admiration that I have for Real, but I’m at Chelsea. Every year, things were said about me but I stayed.
‘In Lille, I was announced in Paris, but I stayed. And in Chelsea, people always said that I’m leaving, but I’m still here.’
Hazard’s penalty on 21 minutes in Azerbaijan was his sixth goal this season – and third in the competition – following up from his brace in another 4-0 riot at West Brom on Saturday.
