Hearts of Oak continued their fine form under new manager Kim Grant as they produced an impressive performance to beat second-tier side Heart of Lions 3-2 in a friendly played on Saturday morning.
Kim Grant’s side have now won all but one defeat and a draw in his friendly games since he took charge of the capital-based club.
Defender Christopher Bonney opened the scoring for the Rainbow club with an artful free kick but the visitors levelled before the break.
Hearts dominated possession of the game in the opening half and stepped up the gear as Anthony Quayson scored from an acute angle to restore AHOSC one goal lead just before the hour mark.
New signing Kofi Kodzi calmed the game for the rebuilding Phobians on the 82nd minute mark after the visitors keeper spilled a Stanley Agyei goal-bound effort as he roundly bundled the ball home.
Sule Musah pulled a goal back for the Lions on the nick of full time and Hearts were able to hold the game to their favour before it petered out.
The game is help the teams prepare ahead of the forthcoming Normalisation Committee Special Competition.
