Hearts Clear Players Debt
PLAYERS of Accra Hearts of Oak will be heading to the bank with joy in the coming days as management has settled the debt they owe them (players).
The majority shareholder of Hearts, Togbe Afede, has disclosed that management had settled all salary arrears of the players.
“Hearts Board and Management have decided that by the close of February 2018, all salary arrears will be paid, so there will be no arrears”, he said.
Togbe Afede also assured that the leadership had decided that, henceforth, there would not be any player salary arrears.
The move, he explained, was intended to motivate the players so that they would faithfully serve the club to win more titles.
Togbe Afede announced the good news when he stormed the club’s training grounds to communicate with the playing body.
He charged the players try to win all their games, now that all their salary arrears had been cleared, so that the fans would be happy.
He said it was his wish that players of Hearts would secure decent contracts and play for some of the top clubs in England and Spain.
Togbe Afede, however, noted that his dream would only come to pass if the players acted professionally and delivered for the club.
“Hearts of Oak has given you the platform so just deliver in order to get the attention of the top clubs in Spain and England to sign you”, he said.
