The H-MAG members are of the opinion that the president’s open endorsement would help improve consumer confidence and boost their work.
The president of H-MAG, Dr. Solomon Appiah Kubi, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of SOLAK Biochemist Ltd, has stated that it was time the President endorsed their operations.
He said herbal products in the country, have over the years, proven to be very effective in the treatment of various ailments and conditions to perfection.
Dr. Appiah Kubi said members of H-MAG manufacture their products based on strict adherence to the rules of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) and the WHO.

“President Nana Akufo-Addo is the father of the country so if he openly endorse our work, definitely consumer confidence would improve significantly”, he said.
Dr. Appiah Kubi was speaking with THE NEW PUBLISHER, when the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) organized a workshop to improve good manufacturing practices among herbal manufacturers.
Held at the Miklin Hotel in Kumasi, the educative programme, which is being held in batches for herbalists, was attended by some selected herbal manufacturers.
Dr. Appiah Kubi admonished the public to only patronise FDA approved herbal products in the market, in order to help keep fake manufacturers out of the market.
Anita Owusu Kufuor, Principal Regulatory Officer for FDA in the Ashanti Region, said the workshop would help to further improve the efficiency of practitioners.
She also strongly cautioned the public against buying herbal products that do not have FDA registration numbers on them, to help prevent consuming fake products.
Anita Kufuor said there is a healthy working relationship between the FDA and the H-MAG, adding that other members of H-MAG would also benefit from the workshop later on.
