HIGHEST! Sarkodie receives BET Hip Hop Award plaque
Multiple award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Michael Owusu Addo, best known in showbiz as Sarkodie after winning the 2019 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Hip Hop Award last year October has finally received his plaque.
The win made him the first ever person to hold or have access to such plaque. The new category added to the BET awards scheme highlight artists from different countries such as Nigeria, UK, France, South Africa, Ghana and Canada.
He won the category over six other acts namely, Falz (Nigeria), Ghetts (U.K), Kalash (France), Lil Simz (U.K), Nasty C (South Africa) and Tory Lanez (Canada).
Making the announcement in an Instagram post after receiving the plaque, he expressed appreciation to BET, his fans and Ghanaians as a whole.
