Holy Child Pre-School Holds Graduation Ceremony
Holy Child Roman Catholic Pre-School, in Tema on Saturday held its 4th graduation ceremony for its pupils.
A total number of 82 students graduated from the pre-school, with over 15 pupils receiving awards for excellent performances in their academics.
Various performances such as cultural display, choreography, memory verse recitals, and a cadet parade were put up by the pupils at the ceremony.
Delivering her speech, Mrs. Monica Mensah, the Headmistress of the school, congratulated the grandaunts, and implored stakeholders to use their offices to assist the school.
She announced some projects the school has outlined in order to fit into the national education aims.
This includes renovation of the playing grounds to modern standard, decorating the school with materials and plants to befit the status of a Montessori school, revising the teaching materials and techniques of the teachers, and the creation of a modern ICT laboratory.
The school has chalked so many successes over the years especially in academia.
It boast of a Presidential award for producing one of the best pupils in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
“In the 2016 BECE one of our pupils had the highest score in the entire country with an average of 94% per subject. In 2017 the school took the first position among all the public schools in the Tema Metropolis,” the Headmistress announced.
The theme for the 4th Graduation day was dubbed “Effective Pre-School Education, The Key To National Development.”
