Huge Funding For Cocoa Roads Announced

Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Information Minister, has announced a GH¢3 billion package for the nation’s Cocoa Roads, with an assurance that government is determined to complete all the projects without any hindrance.

“The cocoa roads project of the previous government did not have enough funding and it brought problems. This NPP government’s cocoa roads project is being funded with a GH¢3 billion package, which had been secured”.

The Minister, who made the announcement during a ‘Meet-the-Press’ programme in Kumasi, indicated that cabinet had given approval for the project to commence.

According to him, the roads that would benefit have already been earmarked, and that government had carefully planned before coming out with the latest cocoa roads project.

Sounding confident, he said the project would not face financial problems when eventually rolled out.
