Founder of Perez Chapel International, Bishop Charles Agyinasare, has challenged Christians to use the story of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s ascendency to the presidency, despite being written off several times by his opponents, as a source of inspiration in their individual lives.
In one of his sermons aired on Thursday on Rainbow Radio, Bishop Agyinasare said Nana Akufo-Addo’s presidential victory after three attempts, is material proof that God’s plans defy the doubts of humans beings, no matter how loud those doubts may be.
He said just like Nana Akufo-Addo, people must remain focused on their individual goals if they want to attain success in life.
“If you listened to the election campaign, there were some people who said, Nana Akufo-Addo can never be president, [but] today, he is the [President], Bishop Agyinasare said, adding: “Human beings wrote him off”.
Also using the overnight ascendency of then-Vice-President John Mahama to the presidency to make the same point, Bishop Agyinasare said: “… When John Mahama was vice-president, people will meet him in the corridor and they won’t even greet him because as for the vice-president, the next time we go for congress, you can’t win because you don’t have what it takes.
“In one day, God changed his story. He woke up one morning; he was president…
“If God has not written you off, no man can write you off. If God has said it is possible, no man call tell you it is not possible,” Bishop Agyinasare noted.
