Husband cuts off his penis thinking it was goat meat

A Ghanaian farmer  in the Central Region who had a dream he was cooking with his wife and cutting some goat meat for her woke up from the dream to realize he had used a knife to cut off his own penis.

The farmer, whose name was given as Kofi Atta,   a resident of Assin Akomfode in the Central Region  explained that as far as he remembers, he was cooking with his wife, Adwoa Konadu when she left the kitchen to breastfeed their young child.

He, being a supportive husband, then decided to help his busy wife cut the meat she was cooking with so he took a sharp knife and started to chop the meat happily and in joy.

Kofi Atta said while cutting the meat in the kitchen, he started to feel some pains and he suddenly woke up only to realize the cooking  was a dream and that in real life he was actually cutting off his own penis thinking  it was the meat he was dreaming about.

He woke up in a pool of blood with the joy of cooking turned into pains from an injured adult penis.

The wife, Adwoa Konadu, who was not home when the incident happened said when she returned, she met the husband seated on a big chamber pot and holding his cut off penis.

She said there was bold all over the room and her husband was in agonized pain. She therefore raised an alarm and neighbours came to rush him to the St Francis Xavier hospital in Assin Fosu where his condition was stabilized and given a transfer note to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH)  in Kumasi.

Reports however suggest that Kofi Atta’s  relatives are unable to raise GH₵600 to fuel an ambulance provided by the National Ambulance Service, hence Kofi Atta ws yet to obtain further medical care.

The worried wife, Adwoa Konadu disclosed that Kofi Atta, sometimes sleeps walks and does other strange things when in bed.
