Dead men do not talk and therefore, Prophet Isaac Owusu-Bempah, head pastor of the Glorious Word Power Ministries, has personally granted interviews to a couple of media houses in Accra to deny viral reports that he is dead.
Scary reports went viral on social media last week that the popular man of God had died in a UK hospital where he had reportedly gone to seek medical cure of an unnamed illness.
The reports said attempts were being made by persons close to Isaac Owusu-Bempah to hide news of the supposed death away from the Ghanaian public, especially members of the Glorious Word Power Ministries.
However, yesterday, Sunday August 27, Isaac Owusu-Bempah was seen in a live facebook broadcast, ministering at the Mount Zion Prayer House in London, during the church’s Sunday morning service.
He looked healthy and fit, with no signs whatsoever of someone who had died but resurrected.
Owusu-Bembah had earlier granted an interview to Kwame Nkrumah Tikese, host of the Okay FM radio morning show, during which he categorically denied the viral reports of his death:
Here is a transcript of that interview as monitored by The New Publisher:
“I have heard reports that I am dead. My family relations, church members and friends were calling me from Ghana over reports that I had travelled to the United Kingdom to seek medical treatment because I was not well and that I had died in the process.
“This is not true. I did not come to the UK for any medical treatment. I came to do God’s work, church work and that series of ministrations starts from August 25 to September 3, after which I would return to Ghana.
“I want everyone to disregard the reports of my death. It is not true. I am alive. Currently I am in the United Kingdom and I am not even sick in any part of my body.
“The church programme I am here to do would be broadcast live on my Facebook page, ‘Apostle Dr. Isaac Owusu-Bempah’ and everyone can watch to confirm that dead men don’t talk. I am alive and everything is fine with me by the Grace of God.”
Meanwhile the source who recorded and published the fake reports which has created fear and panic among church members of Rev. Owusu-Bempah, has neither retracted nor apologized for the alarming misinformation.
The said video is still making the rounds and questions are being asked as to why the law enforcement agencies have ignored the source of the creation, dissemination and publication of the false news that has clearly caused some public fear and panic.
