I Am The Better Choice! – La Dade-Kotopon NDC Parliamentary Aspirant Tells Delegates
The National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Aspirant for the La Dade-Kotopon Constituency in Accra Rita Odoley Sowah says her vision to develop the constituency is unalloyed.
According to her, the constituency would be ushered into a stage of development if the delegates of the party give her the nod as the parliamentary candidate of the constituency.
In the view of the former Municipal Chief Executive, even before the delegates decide her fate tomorrow, plans are already underway for the construction of library and roads in various parts of the community in the constituency.
She disclosed that under her tenure as MP, there will be free vacation classes for all the youth in her constituency stressing the there was the need to educate the youth and ensure they remain in school.
The Delegates of the opposition NDC are heading to the polls tomorrow to elect parliamentary candidates for 270 constituencies across the country.
At the La Dade-Kotopon Constituency Ms. Sowah, the only female in the race for the seat with four men argued that it is about time the delegates considered her for the seat not forgetting the successes she chalked as the MCE for the constituency.
She told THE NEW PUBLISHER in an interview that “I respectfully want to tell the delegates that for five consecutive times we have had men contesting for the seat”.
The Flowers of Hope International, CEO added: “The women have also paid their dues in the party and it’s about time the men also support the women. I am a better choice lets come together and work for victory in the election 2020 which is the ultimate.”
She said further noted: “My victory is to the glory of God and the NDC…
Ms Sowah stated that she has the passion to serve the people at the constituency indicating that she always wants to work for the people and see their needs met.
Beyond the former MCE’s development agenda for the Constituency, she stated that working and engaging with the grassroots members of the party is her topmost priority.
She explains that she wants to be the bridge of unity to unify all members in the constituency to win the 2020 polls and bring former president John Dramani Mahama back to power.
Ms Sowah however urged the party to be united noting that the election was an internal party affair which should be approached with love and unity of purpose.
