I Am Very Okay With My SHS Certificate – Kwesi Arthur
Ghanaian Hip-Hop/ Trap musician, Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur Junior aka Kwesi Arthur says he has completed SHS and there are no plans of continuing education anytime soon.
According to the fast-rising rapper who broke into the music industry with his Hiphop song “Grind Day”, there was no money to further his education after he completed Tema Senior High School so he had to quit and focus on other things.
But now that he has the money, he is no more interested in any certificates; the SHS WASSCE he has obtained is good enough now. His focus is now on music.
Kwesi Arthur received massive support from Ghanaians before and after BET Viewers’ Choice Best New International Act category, even though he didn’t win.
Kwesi Arthur who was speaking with the host of Cape FM’s Entertainment Xtra, Emcee Bebe on Saturday, September 29, 2018, when he made those declarations.
“To be frank, I have completed SHS but I I’ve no plans or whatsoever of continuing my education. My focus now is on music not in the acquisition of certificates”, Kwesi Arthur said.
According to Kwesi, he couldn’t continue his Tertiary education because of a financial crisis after he completed Tema Senior High School.
When Kwesi was quizzed further by the host that will he ever rescind his decision in reference to formal education, Kwesi Arthur responded in disapproval.
“Errm there’s no way. I’ve never thought of that. Music is my everything for now. I’m thinking about how to cross boundaries with my music and not to think of certificates”, he insisted.
