Thunder Gospelz, a hiplife artiste turned gospel artiste, has said in a recent interview that he once had to resort to ritualists in his quest to release more hit songs.
Kingsley Nana Oduro Asabre previously known as Agya Bomofour, recounted to Sammy Flex, how he used to be in the dark and all the evil things he did when he was actively a hiplife musician.
According to the born-again musician, there was a time he found it difficult to produce any more hit songs apart from his chart-topping songs ‘Meda Ho Ma Wo’ and ‘Adwoa Foowaa’.
Thunder Gospelz said he was introduced to ritualists across the country, but none of them could help him.
“I won’t lie to you, I have really roamed the world looking for help. I went to Togo, to the north, Volta, Nzema, Swedru, and other parts of Ghana all to be able to produce hit songs again,” he said.
According to Thunder Gospelz, a lot of spiritual people including Kaywa had already told him that his calling was to sing gospel. Others also told him not to visit diviners to seek powers for his music career.
The former hiplife artiste added that while he visited more spiritualists for help, he was made to sacrifice a lot of domestic animals.
Since he finally renounced his faith in Jesus Christ about four years ago, he has been committed to serving God and has stopped doing secular music.
After releasing two gospel songs a few years ago, he is out now with a single titled ‘I am on Fire’.
He said this is the medium through which God wants him to propagate the gospel to the public.
He has now stopped engaging himself in all the ungodly acts he was involved in when he was doing secular music. Thunder claims that for four years, he was able to stay away from sex, unlike previously when he used to sleep with women three times a day.
