I DON’T HAVE PRESIDENTIAL AMBITION- Kennedy
THE NEW Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Agyapong, has stated that he is not nursing any presidential ambition.
According to him, some members of the NPP mistakenly think that he (Agyapong) had a presidential ambition, and that the perception had created a lot of enmity for him within the party.
He said he cannot predict what will happen in future, but “as I speak now I don’t have any ambition to become the president of Ghana on the ticket of the NPP as some people think”.
The outspoken politician disclosed that he had more enemies in the NPP than in the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) all because some people think he had a presidential ambition.
“I have more enemies in my own NPP more than in the opposition NDC. You won’t believe it but that is the gospel truth”, the lawmaker disclosed during an interview on Hello FM.
“I can never leave the NPP and join the NDC even though I have more enemies in the NPP more than in the NDC”, he stressed.
He also announced his decision not to contest for the Assin Central parliamentary seat again when his current tenure comes to an end.
“I am only leaving parliament to enjoy my life but I will still be in politics and remain a proud member of the NPP”.
