I Flirted with NPP – Yamoah Ponkoh
OUTSPOKEN MEMBER of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kumasi, Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh, has disclosed that he was once a sympathizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“Yes, it is true, I was a sympathizer of the NPP and I think it was during the days of Adu Boahen and ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor”, Yamoah Ponkoh, disclosed on Nhyira FM in Kumasi.
He, however, denied ever being a card bearing member of the NPP, saying that “I have never been a card bearing member of the NPP so don’t believe the wild rumours that people put out”.
Touching on other pressing issues, Yamoah Ponkoh, who was once the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu-Juaben, expressed concern about the sex saga at Ejisuman Senior High School (SHS), saying “it is unfortunate”.
Without mincing words, he accused the Nkosuohene of Ejisu, Nana Kofi Poku, for being behind the bad tag that the Ejisuman SHS had suffered following the alleged teacher/students sex saga.
Yamoah Ponkoh said it was wrong for the Nkosuohene to have blown the issue out of proportion without seeking the authorization of the Ejisu Paramount Chief, Oguakuro Afrane Okese.
According to him, he would have pulled the strings from behind to ‘kill’ the Ejiauman sex saga matter if he were the MCE of the area, noting that he is not happy about the sex sage case.
