I Never Paid Money to Destroy Akufo-Addo – Badu Kobi
….Says Prophet Badu Kobi
The General Overseer and Founder of Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, has given Mr. Alfred Kwame Larbi, aka DJ Oxygen, of Oxzy FM, three working days to retract what the Prophet has described as slanderous statements uttered against him.
Badu Kobi has hinted of seeking a legal redress if the retraction is not done.
This warning comes after the DJ reportedly accused Prophet Kobi of ‘being in bed’ with former President Mahama, to run down the presidential prospects of the then flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
On May 06, 2018, DJ Oxygen, in an interview with Accra-based Rainbow Radio, had made unsubstantiated claims against the prophet; accusing him of being a “notorious criminal and a car thief.”
A statement signed by Apostle Dr. Lyold Kwasi Anan, Head of Kobi’s Communication Team, said the Prophet denied all the allegations perpetrated by DJ Oxygen.
“It is never true that Prophet Badu Kobi was expecting a private jet from former President John Mahama, which as alleged, influenced his line of prophecies in order to malign and destroy President Akufo-Addo,” the statement read.
It continued: “It is never true as alleged that Mr. Alfred Kwame Larbi, aka DJ Oxygen was bribed by Prophet Badu Kobi with a stolen car and money to tarnish the image of the then flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akofo Addo.”
Prophet Kobi has therefore given Larbi three working days to retract his claims and apologize to him on the same platform and some ten other media platforms or face legal action from his camp.
Prophet Kobi urged the general public, church members, family members and loved ones to treat the lies and allegations made against him with the contempt they deserve.
In an interview with the Publisher, Apostle Dr. Anan said Prophet Kobi had no interest in scoring political points adding that his focus was to promote the Kingdom of God and prepare God’s people for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
He stressed that the Prophet’s prophecies are direct declarations from God with no interest in maligning or destroying the image and reputation of the first gentleman of the land.
