Celebrated Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has disclosed that he has licensed a gun which he carries about for personal protection because of the volatile nature of Ghana’s music industry.
He was heavily criticized after he pulled a gun which nearly marred the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
Reacting in an interview with Paul Adom Otchere on his Good Evening Ghana, Stonebwoy indicated that he is not temperamental as the media portrays him but rather protects himself when needed.
“It is absolutely wrong, I may not come out every day to debunk these things but those who have encountered me, know how sweet and principled I am as a man. Nonsense and rubbish is very difficult to deal with so I think it depends but I am not the slapper kind. I’ll address it first and foremost and I’ll get to get the best out of it. But I won’t sit here and say I am not the type who will say I will not defend myself if I have to” he said.
Delving a little bit into politics, Stonebwoy said he expects to exercise his civic duty in the upcoming elections and urged all Ghanaian voters to look beyond what politicians claim and promise, and make a choice that is favourable to their well-being as well as the development of the nation.
