Ghanaian songwriter and singer, Gladstorm Akwaboah, who has written songs for some artistes in the country has disclosed that he would like someone else to write songs for him.
Speaking to Jessica Opare-Saforo on Citi 97.3 FM‘s Traffic Avenue on Citi 97.3 FM on Thursday, the ‘Hye Me Bo’ singer said even though he has the talent to write songs, he would love to have some variety in the feel of his tunes by singing someone else’s songs.
“Maybe I should let someone write for me to sing. If you are listening to me and you have a good song, bring it,” he quipped.
Akwaboah who got into mainstream music with his single ‘I Do Love You’ in 2013, released his ‘Matters of the Heart’ album a few days ago.
The album has 12 songs including a worship medley.
Talking about his decision to include a gospel song, Akwaboah told Jessica that he had always been religious and commitment to his worship.
“I play the keyboard at church. So I work with my pastor. That is an aspect of me most people don’t know. I’m very religious,” he said.
Akwaboah, who is also a music producer, is signed on to the SarkCess Music record label owned by BET Award-winner Sarkodie. The same label handles rapper Strongman.
He is known for hit song such as ‘Mesan Agye,’ ‘Hello,’ ‘Naadu,’ among others.
Akwaboah has also written songs for Becca, Kofi Sarpong, Efya, Sarkodie and a number of other musicians.
