Tereo Marghuy, father of the Achimota College student who shot to international fame after he insisted he would maintain his Rastafarian hair even if it would cost him his admission to the school, has publicly threatened to kill his famous son, Tyrone Iras Marghuy, over what he described as a continued insolence from child to father.
“I don’t know, but the next time this happens again, I am going to fucking kill that boy. I have given him his last warning. Or he should leave this house. If not he would pay with his life”, the dad, Tereo Marghuy threatened in a velfie that has gone viral.
Senior Marghuy’s anger was apparently provoked by what he described in the video as a recent physical brawl between him and the son; a brawl that left the dad with a slashed and bloodied hand which he showed to the cameras and accused his son of attacking him.
It is not yet clear the motive with which the father decided to go public with the jaw-dropping details with such a domestic brawl and even find it normal to threaten his son with death and use harsh and abusive words on the mother.
Teroe accused his wife of supporting the son of the attitude he is alleging.
Tyrone has however declined comment on the matter. He is reported to have said off record that whatever he did was in self defiance that he may have injured his father.
Below is an uncensored transcript from the video Teroe put out:
“This is what Tyron has done to my hands, he spoilt his sister’s tablet and they were supposed to take it to the repairer this morning.
“The sister came to tell me they were taking the laptop to the repairer. I said yes, all right then. I went to see them in the room and she said Tyron is not ready. Why are you not ready? Long story short, they had argument and so I went back there to ask him why and he just unplugged the laptop and start to walk over me and he’s been doing this all these years, and which his mother tolerates
“She even asked me one time why I don’t want anybody to have peace in this house. When my son does something wrong and I’m telling him, she is giving me bullshit.
“You see this? Suddenly, all uncles from the village who even had nothing to do with us are calling them and giving advice and this and that.
“Even before the Achimota case, he was so arrogant so I wasn’t even ready to follow him anywhere, I went to the court with him and defended him just for the sake of humanity, for the sake of Rasta, if it had been only because of this boy, I wouldn’t have gone.
” You see me now? And this is the third time something like this is happening because he walked over me and I rushed at him, I wanted to slap him for doing that, he does it every time, you see me now, and he gripped my hand, so hard, I don’t know if he had something or whatever with him, and this is what he has done. This is the third time.
“This boy sees me coming with load from town after work, he sees me and he walks away. He does not care. When I tell him to do something, he does it when he wants. All these years, even before the Achimota case. You see me now? And strangely enough, the mother supports this and I don’t know why.
“But in all these years, I am the guy suffering and paining myself to take care of these kids. I don’t know, but the next time this happens again, I am going to fucking kill that boy. I have given him his last warning. Or he should leave this house if not, he would pay with his life.
“Most people in town, when they get to hear something, they are so surprised. How can he….”
