I Will Pull Gun on Bonking Teachers

THE MINISTER of Education, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’, has threatened to pull a gun on any teacher that would sexually abuse his daughter in school.

According to him, since many headmasters in the country would not hesitate in pulling guns on teachers that would sexually abuse their daughters in school, it behooves on them to prevent cases of sexual abuse of female students in their schools.

“Some of you (headmasters) will definitely pull guns if your daughters in boarding houses were sexually abused by teachers in those schools.

“I will also pull a gun if a teacher, who is well trained and should know better, decides to sexually abuse my daughter, who the teacher is supposed to teach”.

The Minister, who was addressing some selected heads of Senior High Schools in the northern sector of the country in Kumasi on Monday, described the allegations that some teachers bonked female students at the Ejisuman Senior High School (SHS) as most unfortunate and unacceptable.

He said the reports had dented the image of teachers and the entire staff of Ghana Education Service (GHS), and sternly warned that henceforth, any Regional Director of Education that would fail to protect sexually abused female students in their area, would be drastically dealt with.
