‘Ignore Fake Samira Social Media Accounts’

The office of the Second Lady, Mrs Samira Bawumia, has cautioned the public against fake social media accounts bearing her name.

According to a statement, the official social media account of the wife of the vice president, are: Twitter: SBawumia, Instagram: sbawumia, Facebook: Samira Bawumia.

The statement said any account “bearing her name and likeness other than the ones above are to be disregarded.”

Mrs Bawumia and her office noted that they will not assume any responsibility and will not be held liable for the consequences of decisions made based on information from any social media account other than the original.

The statement further warned that where applicable, due process (including but not limited to prosecution) will be followed to remove any accounts that infringe on the intellectual property rights of Mrs Bawumia and her office.
