Frank Asiedu-Beko, a former Constituency Secretary of the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency says he is not interested in contesting the vacant seat of the late Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko.
Agyarko who was the MP for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency passed last week in America after a short illness.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) legislator had gone to the United States to seek medical care after an undisclosed medical condition was determined by doctors at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
But even before his one week could be observed, fliers are already making the rounds of a possible contestant to the Seat.
A statement issued by Asiedu-Beko aka “Protoza” said “My attention has being drawn to a flier purporting to have come from me campaigning to replace my late MP Hon Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko.”
He added: “I must say this is not the time to think about who replaces my departed MP but rather time to mourn him.”
Protoza also a former constituency Secretary insisted: “I have no idea about such a campaign flier and do state unequivocally that i would not contest this by election.”
