Before the Wednesday incident, there have been general complaints about the fact that the mine was being operated illegally and the open pits were potential death traps.
According to Dailymailgh.com, the Assemblyman for Nsuaem, Daniel Acheamfour, said it was four persons that got arrested and are currently under lock and key.
“The deceased was attacked three days ago. We were told he was unwell and so we suspected a case of Covid-19 and so he was transferred to Atasamanso for his samples to be tested but it turned negative; but unfortunately he died, police are yet to ascertain what really caused the attack but it may be linked to the accident that involved the 14-year-old”, the Assemblyman was quoted by the site.
“He was attacked in the house and not at the site because some mobile devices and some unspecified amounts of money have been stolen,” he further added.
