I’m Blind In One Eye Due To Abuse – Nana Yaa

Daughter of renowned highlife legend, Nana Yaa, has revealed she is blind in one eye due to an abusive experience from a family member.

According to her she was physically abused by her stepmothers son, after she was abandoned by her dad.

Speaking to TuRas TuRise on ‘Written In the Stars’, one of the newest and most watched chat shows , Nana Yaa narrated how her father (Pat Thomas), abandoned she and her brother.

She disclosed that her dad followed the advice of a girlfriend and sent her and her brother ( now deceased) to Liberia.

According to her, they were left in the hands of family members whiles their dad was lavishing abroad.

She further blamed her dad for the death of her brother.

It seems that, after all these years, there still isn’t much of love between father and daughter.

Nana Yaa mentioned that currently “He doesn’t visit. He doesn’t even come to see his grandchildren.”

Nana Yaa Thomas is a Ghanaian Hi-life, Afro and Neo soul singer, songwriter and performer.

She was born in Ghana but has had life experiences across different parts of the World, ranging from Liberia, London and USA.

She was nominated for the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for Best Female Vocalist of the year with her first single “E GO Be’ under 6 months of release.
