Kwame Nsiah-Apau, popularly known in showbiz circles as Okyeame Kwame has disclosed his unreadiness to lead the Musician Union Of Ghana(MUSIGA).
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Atinka 104.7FM’s drive Talk Show hosted by DJ Candyman, the ace musician explained, leadership comes in a very long accord making him more focused on his music career for now.
“As a leader, you have to tap into your followers aspirations and lead them to not only where you desire but where they have decided to” – he said.
According to “woara” Hitmaker, he is not ready to play the leadership role in the music industry for many reasons making him not fit.
In his words, he honestly admitted that he is not endowed with that tolerance and capability to lead top notch artistes like shatta wale ,sarkodie stonebwoy and many who are leaders in their own circles to that expected destination.
The 2009 Ghana music Awards Artiste of the year added that as a citizen of Ghana who is aware of the culture of trading insults in the country, he isn’t ready to tolerate the insults people will level on him as an occupant of that position and for that matter will not make any attempt to contest that position.
MUSIGA election is slated for 28th June 2019 to elect a new President to replace Bice Osei Kuffor popularly known as Obour to keep the firm running.
Names like Appietus, Samini and many others has come up in the media landscape of interested personalities to contest for the position.
