I’m Not Chasing Agyarko’s Seat – Maata Opare

Group Head of Legal and Company Secretary of Fidelity Bank Ghana, Maata Opare says she has never expressed interest in the parliamentary seat of late Agyarko. 

According to her, she has remained in a deep state of shock and mourning following the sudden demise of Agyarko to be fighting over who represents the governing New Patriotic Party for the upcoming by-election in the constituency.

Maata Opare clarification comes on the back of reports of fylers running across board of her interest in the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary seat.

In a disclaimer letter, Ms Opare said, she has no knowledge of the campaign fylers. 

”I, Maataa Opare wish to state unequivocally and in clear terms that I do not have any intentions of contesting as MP for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.” – the statement said.
