It has emerged that some group of criminals operating mainly in the Ashanti region are impersonating leaders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the region and duping unsuspecting persons of various amounts of money.
Sam Pyne, who made the shocking disclosure on HELLO FM in Kumasi, expressed his frustration and sadness about the unpleasant development and warned the impersonators to stop.
Mr. Pyne noted: “It has come to my attention that some people periodically feign to be Sam Pyne and dupe unsuspecting people by taking their money. The criminals demand money from their victims with a promise of allocating a concession to them to operate at Suame Magazine”, he disclosed pathetically.
According to him, his impersonators always vanished into thin air after taking huge sums of money from their victims, calling for a stop to that illegal practice immediately.
“I will urge the public to take note that it has come to my attention that some people, who are criminals, have been using my name to dupe people at Suame Magazine.
“Please, I don’t have any right to allocate concessions at Suame Magazines so quickly call for the arrest of anyone that will try to dupe you in my name”, he pleaded.
These miscreants are said to be on the loose at the Suame Magazine, in Kumasi, where several several people had fallen victim to their illegal activities, in recent times.
The yet-to-be-arrested criminals usually feigned to be Sam Pyne and take money from their victims with a firm promise of allocating lands for them to start their businesses.
