The newly enstooled Ankobeahene of the New Juaben Traditional Area, Nana Baffour Akyeampong Akwasi III, has advised parents to put their life investments into the education of their wards.
This, he explained was the surest way to reduce poverty in the various household and build a formidable citizenry to take up challenges to contribute to national development.
He said without knowledge, development and progress could not be achieved.
The new Ankobeahene was speaking to the Media after his introduction and swearing an oath of allegiance to the Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional Area, Daasebre Oti Boateng at Koforidua.
He expressed his commitment to collaborate with the Omanhene to encourage the youth of the area to access education to the highest level.
The new Ankobeahene, 48, is known in private life as Akomeah Boateng and is the Deputy Chief Accountant at the Ghana Health Services and succeeds the late Nana Baffour Kwasi Acheampong II who died in 2008.
The Omanhene of the New Juaben Traditional Area, Daasebre Oti Boateng advised the new Ankobeahene to live a life worthy of emulation as a chief and accord the throne the needed respect.
