Investigate Creative Industry – McBrown tells Anas
Award winning actress, and comedienne, Nana Ama McBrown has pleaded with investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, to investigate the Creative Arts Industry.
She said despite the fact that Anas’ recent expose was based mainly on Ghana’s football association, she has a lot of reason to believe such corrupt activities happen in the entertainment industry too.
Speaking to Adom FM’s presenter, Afia Pokua at the premiere of the “Number 12” documentary, the Kumawood actress said “I don’t think it’s with only football, it’s with the entertainment industry too. He should check there too…”
She further advised various institutions and industry players to forgo corrupt activities that might hinder their careers respectively.
McBrown recently picked up the ‘Best Actress in Comedy’ for her role in ‘Side Chic Gang’ at the Golden movies awards.
She disclosed to Joy News after the awards, her plans of furthering her education.
According to her, she dropped out of school after completing Junior High School.
“I think I was born a natural comedian not just for the screens. In my home with friends, with fans, it was God-given I don’t struggle to be in front of the camera. I just love it,” she said.
“Movie is all I have, being in front of the camera, the screen is all I have. I am a JSS graduate so this is all I have and that’s why I give my best,” Nana Ama McBrown added.
She is hopeful of returning to the classroom in the next two years.
