As to the time, many in the Creative Arts Sector are calling back Madam Catherine Afeku to retain her former seat as Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture because to them, they have missed her several media interactions.
According to many stakeholders in recent time, Madam Afeku has been missed for her daily feedback of the Ministry works after months of being removed from Office.
However Catherine Afeku says she has ‘moved on’ and does not miss anything about her former office.
Speaking in an interview to JoyNews’ MzGee at the just ended Ghana Make-up Awards, Afeku said, ”I enjoyed the Sector as the Creative Arts Minister but I have moved On. It’s a job, basically everyone at a time is replaced in a position. It’s a mindset and also in life, you move ON, you don’t look to the past”.
According to her, the works she did at the sector during her time of appointment would speak for her adding that, posterity will be the best judge.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Evalue-Gwira-Ajomoro , Madam Catherine Afeku was appointed as designate Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture by President Nana Akufo-Addo at January 12,2017 and reshuffled on February, 28, 2019.
The legislator is a 49 year old serving her second term in Parliament. She hails from Axim, and holds Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degrees in Business Administration.
