Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen, must come clean on the death of former legislator for Abuakwa North constituency, Joseph Boakye Dankwa-Adu, prime suspect Daniel Asiedu, also known as Sexy Dondon, has said.
According to the suspect, Mr Boahen knows about the death of the late MP and should disclose it to the public.
The suspect made this demand on today, 26 July 2018 during the trial at a district court presided over by Her Worship Ms Arit Nsemoh.
The magistrate and others have lamented the delay in dispensing with the case.
Mr Asiedu had told the court on Wednesday, 21 June 2018 that he was contracted by people within the governing NPP to kill the politician, who was a member of the same party.
He claims his “contractors” told him to indict certain persons in the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) instead of the NPP in the event of his arrest.
The late J.B Danquah-Adu was murdered at his Shiashie residence on 9 February 2016. The hitman gained access to the MP’s bedroom by climbing a ladder.
However Obiri Boahen reacting to the accusation from the suspect said, he is not worried at all and that the accused should not be taken seriously.
“It is because of the lackadaisical attitude that the police have adopted in handling this matter that has given him the opportunity to be doing all these things else we would have finished with the prosecution,” he stated
