Jean Mensa has NO Relation to Akufo-Addo – Kweku Baako

Prior to the nomination of Madam Jane Mensa, critics from the main opposition party has been that, she managed to get the position as Chairperson of the Electoral Commission because of her close relation to President of the Country.

The minority claim, madam Jane Mensa is the niece of Rebecca Skufo-Addo, wife of the president.

However Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr speaking on NEWS FILE programme stated emphatically that claims of Mrs Jean Adukwei Mensa being related to First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo is all false which result in mere fallacy.

“She is also not the niece of Rebecca Akufo-Addo,” he disclosed.

While some are in support of her nomination, others are against it. Recent reports suggest that Mrs Mensa who is the Executive Director of the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), is related to the first family of the land and therefore cannot be neutral especially during election 2020.

However, Kweku Baako who was contributing to a panel discussion on JOY FM newsfile programme, Saturday has debunked claims that Mrs Mensa is the sister-in-law of President Akufo-Addo.

“Jean Mensa, I have done some few checks, and she is not the sister-in-law of Akufo-Addo. She is also not the niece of Rebecca Akufo-Addo. Her mother was also not the niece of Rebecca Akufo-Addo’s father, full stop, that is what it is. These are the facts” he indicated.
