Jeffrey Schlupp extends Crystal Palace contract

Ghanaian midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp has decided to stay with Crystal Palace for a few more years by extending his contract until June 2025.

He had already prolonged his stay with the club for another year in March 2023, and now he’s chosen to commit even further.

Schlupp, who joined from Leicester City in January 2017 for £12 million, has played in 267 games for Palace and scored 22 goals during his time with the team.

Known for his versatility, Schlupp has adeptly performed in various positions, including left-back, left-wing, and centre-midfield, demonstrating his adaptability and value to the team.

Crystal Palace also secured contract extensions with teammates Will Hughes and Joel Ward, showcasing the club’s dedication to keeping essential players.

Steve Parish, the chairman of Crystal Palace, voiced his contentment with the extended contracts, underlining the importance of the trio, both in their on-field performance and their off-field contributions.

Parish stated, “As well as playing a pivotal role on the pitch, Will, Jeff, and Joel are natural leaders in the dressing room who embody the Crystal Palace DNA and help set a culture of the highest standards at the training ground. We are delighted that they will be with us next season to help further our exciting early progress under Oliver Glasner.”
