Jim Iyke Responds To Critics On His Alleged Assault
Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has expressed his thoughts on how sad the length that people will go just to spread fake news about people.
He said this when he responded to critics on his alleged assault on a male attendant at the Murtala Muhammad Airport in Lagos, Nigeria.
“The manager himself took me to the plane and I told him to school his staff on how to treat people. It’s sad the length that people will go to spread fake news about people. Thank you for being one of the credible media houses who actually confirm news before publishing it” He explained to Abuja reporters
The actor who was in a video that went viral on social media was seen struggling with law enforcement officers at the airport over an alleged case, has responded saying he was struggling with the other people in order not to miss his flight.
“One of the security guards who saw me struggling to make my way in got overzealous and got into an argument with my PA. Then they started exchanging words and pointing fingers in the heat of the moment” Jim said
According to the actor, he saw a policeman and told him to go together to resolve the chaos downstairs, since the issue was one of tempers flying. After the issue was resolved, he boarded that same flight only to arrive and hear people saying he was arrested by the police.
“I know that people need content, but let’s not blow things out of proportion, I am not that kind who will post a rejoinder on issues like this, because I will be fueling the fire, but we are all human”
“We lose our temper at different points in our lives, especially with how rude and unprofessional people are and more bewildering is the fact that people never want to hear the other side of the story”
