Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew and winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored and provided an assist in Leicester City’s 3-2 win over Southampton.
The Foxes delivered a remarkable comeback to score the win after trailing 2-0 to Southampton at half time with the Ghanaian duo playing key roles.
For Leicester’s first, scored by Facundo Bouananotte, Fatawu Issahaku, strolled down the right side to feed Bounanotte to score.
Ayew scored the game’s winner when he peeled off his marker to connect to a corner kick from Harry Winks in a well-rehearsed and executed routine.
Issahaku and Jordan Ayew’s goal contributions for Leicester came off the bench with Issahaku replacing Victor Kristiansen in the 59th minute and Ayew replacing Bilal El- Khannous in the 69th minute.
Ayew and Issahaku played for Ghana in 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Sudan that had the Black Stars draw goalless to Sudan and lose 2-0 in the return leg.
Black Stars winger Kamaldeen Sulemana replaced Will Smallbone in the 79th minute for his season debut with Southampton after missing the start of the season to injury.
