Jordan Ayew Wants Crystal Palace move
Ghana forward Jordan Ayew failed to report for training at Swansea City yesterday as he tries to force through a move to English Premier League side Crystal Palace.
The Ghanaian marksman has been heavily linked with a move to Palace and the deal was reported to be close to completion.
The Welsh-based outfit wanted to take Riedewald to the Liberty Stadium as part of a deal to let Ayew head to Selhurst Park.
However, the deal seems to have hit a snag after Reidewald expressed his unwillingness to move into the Championship with the Welsh-based side this summer – which sparked reports that Roy Hodgson’s side will drop their interest in the player.
Swansea manager Graham Potter confirmed that the 26-year-old has not joined his teammates in training as he tries to sort out his transfer away from the club.
“There’s no further news on Jordan – he’s just not been here,” Swansea boss Graham Potter told BBC Sport Wales.
“That tells you that he’s not part of what we’re trying to do, by his own actions.
“It’s whether we can get a good enough deal for the club. Otherwise, that’s going to be an interesting time for him.”
The English transfer window will shut on Thursday, August 9, a day before the commencement of the league campaign.
Ayew was the Swans’ top scorer with 11 goals as they were relegated from the Premier League last season.
