JOT Agyeman Ditches Atinka TV

Television Guru and Content Expert JOT Agyeman has left Atinka TV after only 8 months at the helm of Affairs, thepublisheronline.com can confirm.

Reports available indicates, Mr. Agyeman left the Network early Monday morning on the 27th of August 2018. It is believed that an altercation with the Chairman of the Company Mr. Samuel Amo Tobbin is the cause of his exit.

Jot has worked with TV Brands such as Ghana Television, TV3and e.TV Ghana. His creations include shows such as Panorama, 100 Most Influential Ghanaians, The late Nite Celebrity Show, 100 Degrees and many others.

Atinka TV has in the past year and a half since its launch had five Managing Directors. Many at the media entity have said that the constant interference from the Chairman of the Company and the strong handed nature of handling affairs of the Network has accounted for the many Managers who have passed through within the last 18 months.

Award winning Television Executive JOT Agyeman is widely respected in the industry as one of Ghana’s most talented Programs Managers and Television Executives. Our investigations show that in eight months at the helm, he created shows such as Rendezvous, Expedition Ghana, Addiction, Sika Sem, The Buzz, Hot off the Press and several others for the Network.

He was working on a brand new reality program ‘Kronkron’, a gospel reality show for the Station. Staff say his
departure cast a huge shadow on the Media Village and his very large boots would be impossible to fill.

With his departure, there are uncertainties as to who will fill his position. Moreover a staff meeting to announce his departure could not point to a replacement. Several  staff are said to be contemplating whether to leave also due to the many issues that confront Atinka Media Village.
