Journalist fights majority leader over Suame seat

FRANCIS DODOVI, a journalist, has officially been introduced as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Suame constituency in the Ashanti region.

Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman, the Running Mate of former President John Mahama, officially introduced Dodovi to the people of Suame during a colourful durbar.

Dodovi, who once practiced as a journalist with Boss FM in Kumasi, would lock horns with Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, the Majority Leader for the seat.

Prof. Naana Opoku Agyeman, whilst introducing Dodovi, said Suame has a huge potential to progress but sadly the area was still retarding in growth due to bad leadership.

She therefore appealed passionately to the Suame electorates to vote massively for Dodovi in order to ensure total progress and transformation of the Constituency.

The NDC Running Mate Candidate, who was brimming with confidence, boldly stated emphatically that Mr. Mahama would triumph in the presidential elections.

Prof. Opoku Agyeman therefore entreated the electorates across the country to also cast their ballot for the 275 NDC PCs so that Mr. Mahama’s reign would be extraordinary.

The durbar was held at the instance of the Breman Chief, Baffuor Kutin Sraman II, to honour Prof. Opoku Agyeman, who is currently on a campaign tour in Ashanti Region.

Dodovi, who is a heavyweight in the NDC in the Ashanti Region, openly decried the hardships and problems that continues to face the people of Suame Constituency.

He said he was into the Suame Member of Parliament (MP) race to kick out Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, the Suame MP, whom he labelled as “failure” and restore hope for the people.
