A KUMASI-based Journalist, Kofi Adade, has extended a helping hand to scores of children of school-going age at Kumawu-Dadiese in the Ashanti region.
The Fox FM reporter has presented quantities of exercise books, pens and pencils to the pupils, most of who come from deprived homes.
Among the beneficiaries were orphans and others whose parents and guardians are cash-strapped and badly needed help.
Adade, who is noted for donating to brilliant-but-needy students in the area, said he used his connections to secure the items.
According to the Fox FM reporter, his desire is to see his native Kumawu-Dadiese one day producing brilliant students who would grow up to develop the area.
He appealed to his colleague journalists to emulate his shining example by also supporting their communities.
According to him, journalists, by their profession, have access to people in authority, many of who may be willing to help the needy in society.
The Fox FM reporter promised to do more donations to his community whenever he had the power to do so.
