THE JUABEN Municipal Assembly, in the Ashanti Region, is set to benefit from a dual carriage road project to help boost the movement of people and goods.
The Juaben Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Kwadwo Ansah-Sem, who announced the news, said the road project would link Ejisu and Juaben Municipality.
According to him, the road that links Ejisu and Juaben is a single lane and it is also not in the best of states currently, therefore the need for the road to be improved into dual carriage.
“Plans are far advanced for the construction of a dual carriage road project that would link Ejisu and Juaben Municipality”, the MCE announced on Wontumi Road.
Hon. Ansah-Sem lauded the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for having the vision to expand and improve the road.
According to him, plans are also in the pipeline for the construction of a multi-purpose Municipal Assembly Office Complex project at Juaben to help improve their work delivery.
Hon. Ansah-Sem commended the Juaben Paramount Chief, Nana Otuo Serebuo, who is also the Council of State Chairman, for being a development-oriented leader.
The Juaben MCE said Nana Otuo Serebuo has given a 34 acre land for the construction of the multi-purpose Assembly Complex “and we are grateful to him”.
Hon. Ansah-Sem disclosed that part of the 34 acre land would be used to construct an amusement park, to help residents of Juaben to socialise and enjoy their lives.
The Juaben MCE also said part of the land would be used to construct a shopping mall complex, commending the Juaben Paramount Chief for being a progressive traditional leader.
