TWO NOMINEES of President Nana Akufo-Addo for the position of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executive (MMDCE) have been cleared in style.
The two lucky nominees include Rebecca Yeboah, nicknamed as ‘Sister’, Atwima Nwabiagya North and Akwannuasah Gyimah, Asokwa Municipal.
Significantly, the duo garnered 100 percent votes each in their various Assemblies, which ensured their confirmation to lead the government in their communities.
There were wild jubilations Asokwa and Atwima Nwabiagya North respectively, after the two personalities were overwhelmingly confirmed by their assemblymen.
On her part, Rebecca Yeboah thanked the assemblymen for their support and show of love, promising to team up with them to expedite the development of the assembly.
At Asokwa, Akwannuasah Gyimah who polled 100 percent votes from the assemblymen, beaming with smiles, assured to lead the area into affluence in a short time.
According to him, he has positive plans, programmes and policies to expedite the transformation of Asokwa, so he urged the people to offer him the needed support.
Meanwhile, reports indicated that four more appointees for the position of MMDCE in the Ashanti Region have been confirmed by their assemblymen during the week.
They are Faustina Amisah, Obuasi East, Clement Adu Gyamfi, Amansie South, Nii Lartey Ollenu, Amansie West and Andrew Adu Boahen, Adansi Asokwa.
President Nana Akufo-Addo, as a reminder, appointed 43 people to serve as MMDCE in the various assemblies in the Ashanti Region in his government recently.
