FIRE WAS, reportedly, set to a set of gods, belonging to a Benin National at Ejisu-Jamasi in the Ashanti Region on Tuesday by angry residents in the community, who suspected him of having a hand in some mysterious killings in the area, lately.
Two teenage girls had been killed mysteriously in the hitherto peaceful community in less than one month, causing fear and panic.
The latest incident, where a second-year Senior High School (SHS) girl was killed, and her body removed, angered the residents.
Eye witnesses said the residents of the town believed that the juju man, who recently relocated to the area, was behind the strange killings, and therefore marched to his house, forcibly broke in and set his set of gods on fire.
As if not enough, the angry-looking people also tried to set the entire house on fire, but they were prevented from doing so.
The police, who had gotten wind of the attack, rushed to the place on time and managed to prevent his house from being torched.
