Juju Scare Hits Kotoko
Details are emerging over how Kumasi Asante Kotoko reportedly selected some people to guard the Baba Yara Stadium ahead of their clash with CARA of Congo.
Kotoko, reportedly, suspected that some ‘wicked’ people would plant some voodoo (juju) items at the stadium to bring bad omen to the team.
And to help prevent this from happening, some Kotoko dyed-in-the-wool supporters agreed to guard the stadium against infiltrators.
There have been some instances that Kotoko have performed badly in Africa and the defeat blamed on juju planted at the stadium by Kotoko opponents.
This time around, the Kotoko Africa Cup Committee did not want any excuses as they decided to jealously guard the stadium against infiltrators.
Some known and trusted Kotoko supporters were therefore selected to provide tight security at the stadium from day and night.
According to sources, Kotoko started guarding the stadium from Wednesday, four days ahead of the game, slated for yesterday.
Kotoko was billed to face CARA of Congo in the first-leg of the Africa Confederations Cup elimination series at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
