Kasoa MP’s Health Walk Shakes NDC

Over the weekend, the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) health walk took centre stage in Kasoa and its environs.

The event attracted electoral areas within the constituency to compete for laurels in the various sports disciplines.

In the ultimate game, football saw Otamens electoral area team against Ofaakor electoral area team.

It was a hard-fought battle as Otamens electoral area FC inflicted a painful 1-0 victory over bogey side Ofaakor electoral area FC to lift the maiden edition of ‘special’ MP’s health walk cup played at the Ofaakor community park, Kasoa.

All the players were a delight to watch as they kept the park ablaze with skills and passes.

Both teams could have scored more goals but failed to put the ball behind their counterpart’s net ending the first half goalless.

However, Otamens striker broke the deadlock and separated both teams in the second half through to full time.

Meanwhile there was a dramatic scene where the ladies from each of the electoral area in the Awutu Senya East Constituency, Kasoa engaged themselves in a tag of peace battle.

Some bigwigs from the constituency, Region and government lauded the teams for showing their commitment and support for the competition.

The competition organized by the Member of parliament for Awutu Senya East Constituency,

Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson was to keep fit and foster unity among all and sundry.

Doubling up as a Minister for Special Development Initiatives, Hon. Hawa Koomson assured the people of an annually event.
