Kennedy Lied: Didn’t Record the President Secretly – Kweku Baako

The Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has debunked claims against him by the member of parliament for the Assin Central constituency  of the New Patriotic Party, the he [Kweku Baako]  secretly filmed President Akufo-Addo during an interaction with the President.

The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong had alleged earlier this week that the seasoned journalist, secretly filmed the President during talks Investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

According to him, “Kweku Baako secretly filmed the president when his boy Anas went to see him  for talks at the flagstaff house,and that was all meant to destroy the president integrity and hard earned reputation.”

But addressing the issue on a panel discussion on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo‘, Kweku Baako stated emphatically and urged the general public to reject all those claims by the member of parliament.

” First of all, that meeting was not at the jubilee house as claimed by Kennedy Agyapong. It was at the private residence of the president at Nima. Again, people available that day during the encounter was not 3, but rather 10. Five from the president side, myself, Anas and two video camera guys” – he said.

He made mention of names like Eugene Arhin, Samuel Abu Jinapor, Francis Asenso-Boakye , Bomti Akufo-Addo as part of the president during the encounter.

Explaining further, he made notice of that, the recorded video of the president was on agreement from both side and no sort of secret recording as claimed by the member of parliament.

You will remember during the investigative piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas titled NUMBER 12, Former president of the Ghana football Association, Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi made emphatic pronouncement of claiming to have access in bribing the president of the republic of 5 thousand dollars. Tiger EYE team further engaged the president to seek for answers on the corrupt issues against the former FA president.
